Canon has announced the imagePRESS V900 II series, an updated range of A3 cut-sheet colour toner presses aimed at commercial and in-house light-production environments.
The new series comprises the imagePRESS V900 II, V800 II and V700 II, which operate at speeds of 90, 80 and 70 A4 pages per minute respectively. Canon is targeting print operations typically producing between 15,000 and 250,000 A4 images per month.
The range builds on the imagePRESS V900 series, launched in late 2022, which Canon said has achieved cumulative sales of more than 5000 units across EMEA.
Designed for print environments handling a mix of short-run and fast-turnaround work, the updated platform introduces changes intended to improve productivity, uptime and consistency while retaining the application flexibility of its predecessor.
Among the developments is new drum technology, designed to maintain stable image quality for longer while producing clean halftones and minimising streaking. Canon has also optimised the presses’ idle control to reduce waiting time before printing.
Jam recovery has also been enhanced, with the aim of reducing press downtime and helping operators return jobs to production more quickly.
The imagePRESS V900 II series retains the range of feeding and finishing options available with the previous generation. Canon and third-party options can be used with the presses, allowing configurations to be adapted to different applications and production requirements.
The compact platform is intended for businesses requiring consistent output across a varied workload while managing frequent job changes and short turnaround times.
The Canon imagePRESS V900 II, V800 II and V700 II will be available across EMEA from December 2026. The presses will be sold through accredited Canon Partners as well as directly from Canon.
